Gary Basaraba - Biography

Gary Basaraba left the Yale School of Drama and began his career working for many of the most highly acclaimed directors of our times. His career has spanned all genres of film and television from cutting edge art film such as "The Last Temptation of Christ" to beloved classics such as "Fried Green Tomatoes" and the popular animated series of Smurf films. Starring in 3 television series including the Peabody award winning "Boomtown" and appearing in many Emmy winning series such as "Homicide" and "Mad Men" as a recurring guest star he maintains a reputation as a fine actor with an unusual range from Everyman to every man's worst nightmare. The list of directors that have chosen him to bring their films to life includes Martin Scorsese, Louis Malle, Adrian Lyne, Tony Scott, Alan Rudolph and Errol Morris.
