George Katt is an award-winning actor born in Queens, New York.
He attended Marymount Manhattan College and was the winner of the Competitive Merit Scholarship in Acting. He began his studies in New York City and his career on the New York City stages. He has guest-starred and recurred on several network television shows for CBS, WB, ABC, NBC, Comedy Central & Showtime. His dedication to his craft and versatility have also earned him much success in film; playing a variety of leading male and character roles.
Katt has several upcoming feature films slated for worldwide release and on film festival circuits. His most recent feature film credits include "In the Gray" opposite Lee Arenberg & Chad Lindberg, "Conquering the Rose", "In Montauk", "Delta Zulu", "Red Sheep", "Bastards of Young", "Humdinger" opposite David Moscow;
He also recently wrapped starring film roles as Robbie Petras in the "The Maladjusted", (as) Mirland Cela in "Percentage" opposite Ving Rhames & Omar Gooding. (directed by Alex Merkin/produced by Queen Latifah); (as) Billy Cain in "Turnabout" opposite Waylon Payne & Peter Greene; (as) Osgood Dupont in "Mind Full of Blackbirds"; and (as) Raylan Miller in "House of Bodies" opposite Terrence Howard, Peter Fonda & Queen Latifah .
Some of his awards include: Winner of the "Best Breakthrough Actor" award at the NY International Independent Film Festival for his performance as Zachary Andrews in the feature film "Valley of Angels" opposite Danny Trejo; Winner of the "Best Actor in a Drama" award at the WorldFest International Film Festival for "Crimes Against Charlie"; Winner of the 2011 Outstanding Actor award at the PCTheatre Fest NYC for his performance as Freddie Irons in "Face Divided" (by Edward Allan Baker) & recently Winner of the "Best Supporting Actor" award at the 2012 Los Angeles Movie Awards for his performance in the film "Red Sheep.
