Gus Rhodes was raised on a farm. As a child he rode his horse to the one-room country school grade school which he attended. He was active in 4-H and exhibited livestock at the County Fair, winning the Grand Champion Exhibitor trophy his senior year. In High School he was cast as the leading man in the Senior Class play and joined his High School Thespians Club. Gus received a Regent's scholarship to attend a University where he was an honors student and received a Bachelor of Science degree. As an adult, Gus Rhodes competed in martial arts tournaments where he won numerous trophies and medals in sparring competitions. His first work in a feature film was as a background actor in the 20th Century Fox film, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. This was followed by playing Ms. Susie's companion in "The Paperboy" and a reporter in GI-Joe Retaliation. Gus Rhodes lives in New Orleans in the Garden District.
