Gustavo Victor Carr was born in Milwaukee, Wisconson. Traveling west, he entered the entertainment industry at an early age, dancing in numerous commercials, music videos and feature films while growing up in Irvine, California. He has been fortunate to have worked with the likes of superstars Britney Spears, Katy Perry, The Spice Girls, NSYNC, Selena Gomez, The Pussycat Dolls, Paulina Rubio, Chayanne, Destiny's Child, MC Hammer, Queen Latifah, Paula Abdul and Michael Jackson. Using dance as a foundation, Gustavo has continued his evolution as an artist by expanding into acting, singing and songwriting.
Gustavo appeared as the male lead opposite Hayden Panettiere in the successful Universal Pictures' franchise, Bring It On: All Or Nothing, which featured the song, "Last Weekend", written and performed by Gustavo. He distinguished himself in the acclaimed H&M Denim film, Romeo and Juliet, appearing as the title character opposite American Idol's Tamyra Gray. Directed by David LaChapelle and featuring superstar Mary J. Blige, this groundbreaking international campaign has been employed in theaters, television, print ads, magazines and public media.
Although an accomplished dancer and actor, Gustavo's first love is writing and performing music. Since the age of 14, he has sought to use music as a means of personal expression, communication and inspiration. With his autobiographical debut single, "L.A.", Gustavo shares the intriguing story of his evolution in Hollywood's spotlight, believing ultimately in the universality of human experience, regardless of gender, race or orientation and celebrating the quest of every individual to seek out their authentic selves.
Gustavo has done roles on "Veronica Mars", "Judging Amy", and "7th Heaven". He is based in Los Angeles.
