Hal Dion - Biography

Hal was born July 17, 1955 in Taunton, Massachusetts. In 1975, he migrated to New York City where he made his stage debut in the off beat, off-off Broadway rock musical, The Blind Junkie. His first television appearance was on the award winning daytime drama, As The World Turns, portraying Oakdale Police Academy cadet Phillips. His first foray into film literally landed him on the moon as he suited up as a lunar explorer in the quirky, Nothing Lasts Forever.

Later, a childhood fantasy lured Hal to Paris where he studied corporeal mime and mask work, thus, launching his ten year odyssey across the map of the United States, Canada, and Europe entertaining crowds as an acclaimed street performer. Several highlights during that decade include a stellar production of a Mozart commedia dell'arte play performed at the Royal King's Residenz in Munich and two additional tours around the Japanese isle of Kyushu.

Today, Hal is a LA based actor, residing in Silver Lake with his wife, casting director, Deborah Maxwell Dion. Their daughter, Hadley, is both an imaginative writer and an aspiring filmmaker.
