Born in Queensland, Australia, Heather is the daughter of a nurse and a father who was born in Britain to become a pilot for the R.A.A.F. Never knowing her father growing up, and her mother being unwell, Heather found direction through theatre, music, and dance. At the age of 5 she got her first taste of performance by putting on little shows for her neighbours in the small suburb she grew up in. At the age of 18, she met her father for the first time. He had built up his own flying school form $1. When he passed a few years later, he inspired her to follow her dreams, and become the actress and film maker she so desired to be.
