Ileanna Simancas was born in Caracas-Venezuela, and six months later began her acting career debuting in a TV show. The daughter of two Latin America movie and TV stars Jean Carlo Simancas and Martha Mijares began studying the craft of acting before she could walk. She continued to work strictly in TV until age seven when her film career began. Being the daughter of the owner of one of the most prestigious models agency in her country, Ileanna was introduced to the fashion world, as well as the acting, since very little. After finishing High School in Caracas, she began to pursue higher education abroad. After studying English in Georgia, she returned to South America and continued her education in Bogota-Colombia. She focused on Journalism with the aspirations to become a War Reporter. All the while continuing her devotion to her first love, the Dramatic Arts. Her passion for acting brought her to USA for the second time when she began to work on a "Novela" for Univision. By this point with more than fifteen commercials, countless Guess Star roles, six "Novelas" and four films, she was ready to take on the American market, and move to Los Angeles. Today Los Angeles has become Ileanna's home. In a year she made her debut in an American feature film, _Who's your Daddy? (2001)_, and she is at the moment filming her second feature El Padrino' (2002) starring next to Faye Dunaway, Gary Busey, Damian Chapa, Stacy Keach, Jennifer Tilli, Rachel Hunt, Joanna Pacula and Ralf Moeller.
