Famed actress Imani Hakim was born on August 12th, in Cleveland, Ohio. Although most people decide what occupation path they want to take once out of high school, Imani Hakim already had developed a strong passion for acting by age seven. She began studying acting at Cleveland's historic Karamu House Theater and appeared in many of its stage productions.
The child actress landed her biggest role in 2005, when she was just 11 years old, playing Tonya Rock kid sister to Chris Rock (played by Tyler James Williams) on the Everybody Hates Chris sitcom. After the show ended, Hakim made appearances on TV shows like "ER", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", and "Wizards of Waverly Place", cast in the feature films like "Reign Over Me", and starred in Lifetime movie "One Angry Juror".
The now 21 year old actress who currently resides in Los Angeles, California is all grown up and has definitely become a beauty crush!
In February 2014, Hakim starred in the Lifetime Original Movie "The Gabby Douglas Story" opposite of Regina King, S. Epatha Merkerson and Sydney Mikayla, produced by Sony Pictures Television. She was recently considered for a 2014 Emmy Award Nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in A Miniseries or Movie.
Imani is following the career path of Keri Washington, Jada Pinkett Smith and Jennifer Lawrence. In addition, she has recently been named the official celebrity hair brand ambassador for SPA313 Hair Salon.
