Irene Santiago - Biography

Ms. Santiago has been blessed with a powerful training background in film, theater, television and in the voice over industry. She has taken on various, challenging roles from a savvy but stern mother/business woman who ages over 40 years and suffers a stroke, a gritty, no-nonsense police officer, a human trafficking victim who speaks no English in a strange land, to a charismatic reporters.

In the independent, redemptive film, Adrenaline, she has also added co-executive producer to her list of credits. Not only did she act in the film she also was part of the producing team, (her husband Del Baron also being part of that team) and as crew. She has been invited as a guest artist to the Sundance Institute Filmmakers Lab for 5 consecutive years. During her years at Sundance, she was mentored by distinguished Oscar and Emmy/directors such as, Robert Redford, the late, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Joan Darling. She has studied voice over with award winning casting director, Ginny McSwain and voice over producer, Leigh Gilbert.

Some of her popular credits include, multi award winning, Disney's High School Musical 1, the recurring role of the villain, Carlina, in 3 time Southern Emmy, nominated kids daytime T.V. show, The Rusty Bucket Kids. Also,she has several voice over credits and commercial credits domestic and worldwide.

Ms. Santiago is bilingual speaking Spanish as well as English. She is proud of her Puerto Rican heritage. She grew up in Kearns, Utah with her parents and her 7 siblings (4 sisters and 3 brothers). She is the youngest. She is married to producer, Del Baron and has 2 beautiful children. They live on the East coast. When available Ms. Santiago teaches acting to at risk youth. She looks forward to her next character in a role that she can sink her teeth into.
