Isabella Briggs - Biography

Isabella's passion for entertaining began at a young age, starting with the creation of her own characters and skits that she would perform for her mother to record. Eventually, Isabella took control of the camera and shot her own mini-movies, editing them on her MAC. Never deterred by the jobs she didn't get, Isabella reveled in the experiences of those she did. After shooting a number of print ads and commercials (which got her her SAG card), Isabella decided to work on comedy, improv and singing, working with the crew at Second City Hollywood, and with a vocal coach. While working on her vocal skills, she was encouraged to audition for a production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, landing the role of Varuka Salt. She had a great time and was commended for her performance. The experience awakened Isabella's love of theatre and, lead her to want to focus more intently on theatre and film. Additional auditions landed her the roles of: Belle, in "Beauty and the Beast"; Hermia, in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and, Regan, in "King Lear". She recently filmed her first feature film, an independent movie called "After School". Additionally, Isabella models and is represented by L.A. Models Youth. She landed the covers of two Spring/Summer Look Books for Starling Style, a Los Angeles clothing manufacturer for stores such as Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters and more. Isabella is active both in and out of school. She is a founding member of a non-profit that provides school supplies to underprivileged kids, she volunteers at Adoption Days for The Children's Rights Alliance and, she is working on starting on her own non-profit that would help children who have lost a loved one cope with their loss. This summer, Isabella will travel to Thailand to work with children teaching them English, how to swim, and perhaps a little acting.
