Jacob Walker - Biography

Jacob Walker was born on January 4, 2010, in Richmond, Virginia. Having a rare dwarfism, Opsismodysplasia, his parents were told at the time of his birth that his prognosis was grim. Life expectancy for this little known, but deadly, genetic anomaly is a few weeks to around 5 years. Jacob is the only boy in the world known to be living with this rare type of dwarfism. He has surpassed his life expectancy and is healthy.

At 6 years old, Jacob stands 29" tall and weighs a whopping 28 pounds!

Since the age of two, people around the globe have closely followed Jacob's daily adventures, milestones and achievements on social media: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. His quirky images, dance videos, and live video feeds set with intriguing captions are known for creating smiles and inspiration to those who continually follow his every day life. He has been featured several times on Richmond, Virginia's NBC affiliate WWBT.

In September 2015, while visiting a local fair in Amelia, Virginia, Jacob was discovered by Aaron Jackson, who was at the fairgrounds filming a pilot episode of a TV series, Coney Island. Aaron introduced himself to Jacob and his parents, learned of Jacob's story, and of his aspirations to be on television. He has been his acting coach and mentor from that very day. In February 2016, Aaron offered Jacob a small role in the pilot episode of Coney Island. The same show Aaron was filming the prior summer when they first met.
