Jacquel Cardona - Biography

Jacquel Cardona is an LA-based Actress, Witter, Musician, Live Performer and Model with a broad spectrum of talent in each endeavor. Born and raised in the beautiful Caribbean Island Puerto Rico. She is the daughter of Julia Santana, a college professor and very successful Interior-Design/Decorator and Singer with the Puerto Rico Philharmonic Quire, and Felix Cardona, a Korean War Veteran and retired Engineer. At an early age, Jacquel was exposed to multiple disciplines in Performance Arts as well as Sports, and excelled as a champion Volleyball-Player, (holding multiple trophies) in an International League of Puerto Rico. She also holds a first-degree black-belt in Kick-Boxing, is an excellent Free-Style Dancer including her enchanting Snake-Charmer Dance with her beautiful Boa-Snake "Egypt Drakkar" and a Fire-Dancer. Professionally, Jacquel achieved a Degree in Fashion-Design at the (International Academy Of Design & Technology) in the U.S. as well as another in Art-Performances at the (Adiz-Academy) in Puerto Rico. In the Acting business she has appeared in multiple television and film projects, including "House of Lies" on Showtime and various independent films with award-winning film-makers. She thrived as a Singer/Song-Writer, leading her to fronting multiple live performances in Rock-Bands including "Victims of Eden" and Acoustic-Duet "Erotic Distortion" which performed in popular Hollywood venues such as House of Blues, Viper Room & many more...both of which had national tours. In addition, Jacquel has served as a Spokes-Person and Promotional Model for a wide variety of products including the QVS Channel, both National and Regional Campaigns. She also appeared in the Cover of "Urban Ink' magazine with a Full-Sheet-Spread. In her spare time, Jacquel continues to refine her multiple-skills, and gets away frequently to connect with Nature. She is also a trained & certified Nutritionist, and Massage-Therapist-Healer. Jacquel assists & encourages Healthy-Living, and also volunteers her time to Animal-Rescue Charities. "When I was young, I was interested in such a wide variety of professions such as Veterinarian, Law, Medicine, Arts, Military, even Astronaunt at one point..." Cardona remarked . "And what drew me to Acting was precisely the fact that I wanted to be a little bit of everything... Made me realize, it was an Actress what I was meant to be It allows me to step into each profession, being able to become an entirely different person within myself. The fact that I can drift into a character in such a naturally realistic & passionate way, that it creates an impact & reaction to the viewers, fascinates me completely....
