Jakob Creighton - Biography

Jakob was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on May 16th 1995. He has mostly theatre credits, but also dabbled in local background acting. Select stage credits include: Lt. Brannigan in Guys and Dolls, Jeffrey in Godspell, The Baker in Into the Woods, Joe Qualley in Come Back to the Five and Dime Jimmy Dean Jimmy Dean, Ghost of Christmas Present/Ensemble in A Christmas Carol the Musical, among others. Most recently, Jakob made his operatic premiere as a Senator in Mozart's opera "La Clemenza di Tito". His background credits include: Student on Mr. D (TV Series), and Wedding Guest in Christmas With Holly (Hallmark Movie). Jakob is studying a Bachelor of Music Education at Université de Moncton, and is fully bilingual (French and English). In August 2015, Jakob portrayed the roles of Daniel Buchanan and Henry Davis in "Street Scene" by Kurt Weill, as part of the Halifax Summer Opera Festival, a festival that features opera performers from around the world. In October 2015, he portrayed the role of Des Barres in the original oratorio La Vallée des Possibles. In January 2016, Jakob portrayed the role of Bartolo in the acclaimed regional production of Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro". His original short film "Pandora's Box" will be going into production in June/July 2016.
