Jana Allen - Biography

Jana Allen is proud to be a southern girl having grown up in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. Her mother, Cherie Davis Allen, was Miss Virginia in 1968, and Jana credits her for her acting and singing talents. Her father, Ray Allen, is an award winning poet and founded the non-profit Appalfolks of America to promote literacy and drug-free living throughout Appalachia. Jana began acting and singing as a child, and performed in high school and college as a member of The Opry of the Virginias. She earned a BS in Communications at Liberty University, and moved to NYC in 2005 to attend the William Esper Studio in Manhattan. After graduating from their two-year Meisner program, she moved to Wilmington, NC where she landed her first movie role opposite Michael Madsen in 'The Bleeding." Jana became a proud Marine Corp spouse in 2010, and she splits her time between Los Angeles and Wilmington, NC.
