Jason Lopez - Biography

Jason Lopez is an American actor based in New York City. He began his career on stage when he was 18 years old at the Hollywood Theatre in South Florida. Soon after, he moved to New York City and worked on off off Broadway shows while training at several schools. He was focused and driven to hone his craft in the theatre no matter what it took. In fact, Jason would sweep HB Studios at 6am in exchange for classes. Determined to keep building his education, Jason enrolled at Stella Adler, and then at Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute while also attending the Hunter College Theatre Program. Most of Jason's education was spent at Strasberg, where he explored the Method.

Jason has worked with Suzan Batson and explored the Meisner technique with Nina Murano. Jason also boasts the experience of participating in a master workshop, where he was directed by Dennis Hopper.

Primarily a Method actor, Jason's work is driven by a remarkable passion to transcend. Jason strives to bring truth to his work, to be authentic with himself in order to bring life to a role and allow the layers to grow and grow. With a keen ability to tap into every fiber of emotion in his soul, Jason captures the attention of his audience with ease and grace. His presence is commanding, his gaze impenetrable. But in the blink of an eye, can turn on a charm that is as genuine as it is intoxicating.
