Jason Vail - Biography

Jason Vail is an American actor. He was raised the youngest of four boys by his parents Robert and Sandra Vail. Born outside of Chicago on the Great Lakes, Jason grew up a Navy brat and spent the majority of his childhood moving up and down the east coast. His personality is an amalgamation of all of these regions. A street smart city guy with a laid back southern charm. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an MFA in acting. He lived in New York City for twelve years working in television soaps, regional theater, Off-Off Broadway and eventually Off-Broadway. Jason cut his teeth in indie film while living in NYC which has helped lead him to his current successes in film and T.V. While in NYC he studied with acting instructor Wynn Handman at his Carnegie Hall studio. He has worked in over sixty films of all shapes and sizes and has made dozens TV appearances throughout his twenty plus years in the business. He can be seen acting opposite Melissa McCarthy and Susan Sarandon in the comedy Tammy (2014) as well as opposite Jon Hamm in the sports drama, Million Dollar Arm (2014).
