Jeanne Young - Biography

Jeanne Young is a talented actress and filmmaker who resides in both San Francisco and Chico, CA. In 2005 she set her sights on a career in the entertainment industry in the San Francisco bay area and has been recognized and interviewed as a local bay area talent and up and comer in the industry by various media sources.

She began her training as an actress with discipline, determination, and focus, and has not looked back. She has worked both in front of the camera and behind the scenes as well on various films as Actress, Producer, Associate Producer, and Production Coordinator. She studied for years under several well known teachers, acting coaches, and casting directors at schools such as 'San Francisco School Of Digital Film' and 'Film Acting Bay Area', amongst others. Aside from her family and animals, she is in her element.

Other than her short film Lacuna, which she co-wrote, co-produced, co-cast, lead acted in, and was shown in a San Francisco theater for a Scary Cow film contest, she has successfully booked, collaborated, and lead acted in short and feature length films, TV shows, commercials, industrials, and a couple of web series in the US. At one point, Jeanne did take a bit of a Haitus from the industry for a couple of years due to the fact that while shooting a film in Mumbai, India, the worst attacks in the history of Mumbai took place... they were sitting ducks right in the middle of it all. She came home with her feet firmly planted on the ground once again.

She has now embarked on yet another journey as one of the authors for a book project titled "WOM Woman On A Mission, stories of trials, tribulation, and triumphs". The authors of this book are woman who have "overcome adversity and triumphed, and are paving their way towards Success, or has a testimonial of Success!" The book is meant to inspire and empower other woman out there who need to know they are not alone.

Jeanne feels that her life outside of, and before the entertainment industry, has equally been a spectacular, wondrous, and an eye opening journey for which she is grateful.
