Jimmy was born on November 19, 1946 in Tennessee, USA. Remembering his one line role as a butterfly in a second grade elementary presentation in Cleveland, Ohio he said embarrassingly, "What beautiful wings I have". He entered Cleveland State University in 1965 studying Business Administration and Accounting. Jimmy began acting at The Karamu Playhouse in 1966 in Cleveland. He drove to Hollywood, alone, in a new Buick Electra 225 white convertible in 1968. He joined The Performing Arts Society of Los Angeles repertory group two days after arriving. Jimmy is single, has three children, and resides in the valley area.
