Joan Dangerfield - Biography

Global businesswoman and entrepreneur Joan Dangerfield is the managing partner and co-founder of "The Opus 73 Group", a consulting firm currently providing investment promotion services to the Chinese government. "Opus 73" specializes in Hollywood entertainment and media companies with expertise in all facets of investment promotion, attraction and retention.

Prior to founding "The Opus 73 Group", Dangerfield spent 20 years running her international floral distribution company "Jungle Roses", recipient of the United Nations' "Business of the Future" award. The Utah native never would have imagined that comedy icon "I can't get no respect" Rodney Dangerfield would walk into her Santa Monica-based flower shop and sweep her off her feet. The couple married in 1993.

In 1995, the always-forward-thinking Joan developed a website for her now-late husband, earning him the distinction of the first celebrity to have his own official site. He was later listed as one of the "Top 100 Most Influential People on the Internet" by Website Magazine - ahead of Bill Gates and Al Gore. After his passing, Joan produced a 2-hour documentary about Rodney's life for A&E. She is also in the process of developing a feature film based on her late husband's bestselling autobiography, "It's Not Easy Bein' Me". Joan also currently serves as President and CEO of "Xis International", "Dangerfield Entertainment" and "Paper Clip Productions".

Joan's philanthropic passion involves her in many worthy causes. In addition to serving on the Advisory Board of the Department of Neurosurgery since 2005 at UCLA, Joan served on the Board of Directors of American Friends of Hebrew University of Jerusalem for 5 years.

Joan currently resides in Beverly Hills, California.
