At 3 o'clock in the afternoon of a Winter Wednesday, on January 5th of 1983, John-David Pyle was born to David Eugene Pyle, a retired Biochemist, and Mary Gwendolyn Pyle, a Dietician. He grew up in the refined Highlands area of Louisville, Kentucky, with his younger brother. Joda Pyle began professionally acting as a kid in New York City on several television series, including On ne vit qu'une fois (1968) and New York - Police judiciaire (1990). He won the Ron Millkie Award for Best Actor Performance in 2001. After a few scene studies and expression sessions under the instruction of Bobbie Shaw Chance in Los Angeles, the young actor landed both a general meeting with casting director Mali Finn and a featured role in 10 Attitudes (2001).
On October 3rd of 2005, after years of drug abuse, Pyle was found by Adam Farrar, stepbrother to Leonardo DiCaprio, passed out on the kitchen floor of his Hollywood apartment. Soon after surviving his overdose, Joda took the field with Ray Liotta in Chasing 3000 (2010) (2006 Wrap). He then went on to appear in Sons of Anarchy (2008) and support Armie Hammer in Billy: The Early Years (2008).
In 2009, Pyle teamed up with After-School All-Stars, a nonprofit organization led by Arnold Schwarzenegger, to help keep urban children safe and influence happy futures.
Years later, he joined the short film circuit of his home city with a stint in the festival hit The Paper Tiger (2013) and took on a different kind of role as Director of Almost Ruined (2013).
Joda Pyle is the father of Iris Gweneth Pyle, born on February 21st of 2012. He is married to Chicago socialite Joy McPhee.
