Joe Shaw - Biography

Joe trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He left early in his final year in order to star in the BBC epic Rhodes (1996). The mini series was at the time the most expensive series the BBC had ever made and it brought with it a huge amount of attention.

He is probably most familiar to TV viewers as prison officer Dominic McAllister in the incredibly popular ITV series Bad Girls (1999).

Joe has managed to successfully straddle film/TV work with his work in the theatre and is also an accomplished writer/director. His first short film Passing Through (2002) was well received and played at several international festivals.
