Joel Hogan - Biography

Born in Sydney, Australia. Joel is known for his intense onscreen presence, whether it's as a charming romantic lead or an irrational, ruthless villain. After graduating with honors from a prestigious performing arts college at age 19, he was flown to Virginia, USA to be involved in the TV series Dirty Dancing: The Time of Your Life (2007). Once back in Sydney he was soon cast in Disney's High School Musical (2008) at the Capitol Theatre. He then went on to study acting in New York City and played the lead in The Skin Of Our Teeth (2010) in the role that Montgomery Clift originally played on Broadway. Since then Joel has worked on the feature films, Smash (2012), Bush Boys (2013), 1500 Steps (2014) and most recently Travis Jenkins (2013), in which he cut his weight down to 121 lbs to play the title role of a Methamphetamine addict. Joel was then flown to Seattle to play the lead in the short film thriller Paradise Lodge. He then moved to Los Angeles and has since starred in the feature films Actor for Hire (2015) and Vessels.
