John Sanders - Biography

John Sanders was born and raised in Northern California. He attended the University of Oregon in Eugene, earning a degree in Theatre. He is one of the founding members of the long-surviving comedy troupe Absolut Improv. After school, John moved to Chicago where he worked as an actor and producer in Chicago's vibrant storefront scene. He also performed with Chicago's more high profile companies such as the Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare, Steppenwolf, Drury Lane, and many shows with Writers' Theatre. In 2012, John moved to New York and performed with the original Broadway casts of Peter and the Starcatcher and Matilda the Musical. He has led two national tours, and received two Jeff Award nominations and an After Dark Award.
