Johnny was born in Mesa, AZ and attended The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Just as he was finishing college, he decided that he did not want to pursue a career as a TV reporter and instead focused his attention to pursuing a career in the film/TV industry. He moved to Los Angeles in 2012 to work as an film development intern for Panay Films at Disney Studios. He performed script coverage, office duties and assisted one of the creative executives. To make money he would work as a background actor on his days off. After doing this for a few months, his passion for acting and being on set emerged. After the internship ended, he decided to pursue acting full-time. Since then he has appeared in several television commercials such as Modelo and Corona. He was also in a national Superbowl commercial for Beats by Dre with Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. Recently, he has begun to garnish film and TV credits and begun writing, directing and producing his own projects, while occasionally also working film production.
