Joseph McKelheer - Biography

Born in Yakima, Washington, Joseph moved to Anchorage, Alaska at a young age where he was raised by his mother Jane. Looking for a warmer climate he moved to Colorado. While studying finance at Colorado State University, Joseph returned to Alaska every summer to work as a gold miner at the Valdez Creek Gold Mine to earn his tuition. During his last year of school he discovered acting by landing the role of David Kingsley in the play 'Stage Door'.

As the Head Of Production at Windowseat Films, Joseph McKelheer oversees all production efforts and execution in the Film, TV and Commercial departments. Most recently Joseph produced The Adderall Diaries starring James Franco, Amber Heard and Ed Harris. Joseph also co-produced Barely Lethal, starring Samuel Jackson and Jessica Alba.

As the founder of Film Harvest, Joseph produced an impressive slate of independent films including The Hammer, which won the Audience Award at eight film festivals, a title he also wrote. Under the Film Harvest banner Joseph also produced Free Samples, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Jess Weixler and Tippe Hedren.

Other narrative features titles include: Chasing The Devil, The Thompsons, The Aggression Scale and Godspeed. In addition to these films, Joseph also produced Fight Church, a documentary directed by Academy Award winner Dan Junge and chronicling the movement of MMA-style fighting in the nation's church communities.

In addition to producing television pilots and series for Hulu and Comedy Central, McKelheer also has live broadcasting experience directing and producing live sports for Fox Sports West.
