Julia Fowler - Biography

Julia Fowler is an actor, writer and producer. Originally from Gaffney, South Carolina, Julia holds a BA in Theater and Dance from the University of South Carolina where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She lived in New York City for many years and worked as a Broadway musical theater performer. Julia is now based in Los Angeles and wrote, "The Possum Trot Cloggers," a screenplay influenced by her real life experiences in the competitive clogging world. The script, originally optioned by New Line Cinema, is currently seeking financing with Howie Deutch attached to direct. Julia recently created "The Southern Women Channel" a popular YouTube Channel with over 11 million views. Julia writes, produces, directs and acts in all of the comedic videos along side other southern performers. Her videos have gone viral, been written about in newspapers and blogs throughout the South, and have been featured on "The Today Show." Julia also created and executive produced the reality pilot, "Growing Up Broadway" for E! and returned to her musical theater roots as a cast member of the Hollywood Bowl's 2012 production of "The Producers" directed by Susan Stroman.
