Kaitlyn Bernard - Biography

Kaitlyn Bernard is a young Canadian actress who got her start at the age of three. Her initial love was musical theatre, which she continues to enjoy today. She started auditioning for commercials at age seven, and almost immediately landed a job, a Barbie commercial for Mattel. Kaitlyn soon moved into film and television work, and has been cast in numerous independent films as well as Hallmark's June in January with Brooke D'Orsay and Marilu Henner, and Mom's Day Away with Bonnie Somerville, in which she had a supporting lead role. She has made television guest star appearances on Mr.D (CBC), R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour, Hallmark's When Calls The Heart and has appeared in an episode of Syfy's supernatural drama, Haven. She was cast with a supporting lead role the psychological thriller Cadence, a feature film to be released later this year and also landed a lead role in The Healer (Camilla Luddington, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Jonathon Price), a feature film where she plays a worldly and beautiful 14-yr old girl stricken with incurable cancer. Kaitlyn is a runner, dancer and certified scuba diver. She loves dogs, horseback riding and enjoys traveling. Kaitlyn is also actively involved with the Canadian Cancer Society to help raise funds in support of kids living with cancer.
