Karell Williams - Biography

Driving from an international elite career as a Performing Artist Karell 'Kar' Williams has shifted gears into the television and film industry as a starring actor in the highly anticipated Starz drama Flesh and Bone, created by Moira Walley-Beckett; a writer and producer of Breaking Bad. Playing the role of Trey, a 'trendy cheeky maverick' of the ballet world, Karell has accelerated his career as a professional dancer to a pertinent actor. Born in Miami, Florida, He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts from the prestigious Juilliard School under the directorship of Lawrence Rhodes. His selective training extends through Dance Theater of Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Alonzo King's LINES Ballet, and American Ballet Theater. A Choreographer & Master Teacher, as well as a former leading Soloist dancer with the internationally renowned Les Grands Ballets, Karell has worked first hand & performed principal works by pioneers in dance such as William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Jiri Kylian, Alonzo King and Mak Ek just to name a few. Karell is merging his passion for physical theatrical acting to a vocal film & TV thespian in his new journey . With the knowledge & discipline acquired from a prosperous performing artistic career, Kar is in the HOV lane to greatness an has no intentions of hitting the breaks on this hybrid expedition.
