Karen Ann Cabrera - Biography

Karen Ann Cabrera is an award-winning actress born in Sydney Australia that continues to live in the Los Angeles area. In 2015, she landed her leading tomboy role in Omri Dorani's feature film "Funny Man" which is her feature film debut.

She has dedicated her life to inspire through her work of Art whether it is film & music. For her spare time, Karen developed a love for canvas painting in high school when she won multiple awards for a single painting she never expected would catch the judges eye. Today, you will find Karen balancing college life with industry work promptly.

Karen at 4 years old had her first appearance on live television on the 2000 hit show, Little Miss Philippines, of Eat Bulaga (GMA) and won Little Miss Friendship. In high school, she auditioned for the XFactor Philippines but was voted out during Bootcamp level. Her Cebu Thespians personal vocal coach, encouraged her to audition in Manila for the role of Kim in Miss Saigon 2013, produced by Cameron Mackintosh. Although she was unsuccessful only reaching the seconds day of callbacks, she enjoyed the experience so much that she told her parents she wanted to pursue a career of acting.

By 2013, she got scouted in Los Angeles while she was on a family vacation. After one meeting with the scout, she flew to Manila. There, she opened up for the most famous rapper in the Philippines, Abra, during his first Grand Concert at the Makati Circuit. With the looks of it, Karen hopped on the ABRA2013 Tour with famous rappers, Abra himself, LDP, Loonie, Ron Henley, Mike Swift, J-Hon, and many more. While she was in Manila, she made a lot of appearances on television. She hosted 'Escape' (Travel Show) with Kat de Castro. She was also casted as a lead on a MYX Reality TV Show, 'Starcamp Season 1'.

Karen quickly developed a love for acting when she reached college. In a British-International school, she was homeschooled studying Business Administration but switched course after one semester.

Her ultimate goal is to make memorable performances and films.
