Karen Gagnon was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to a family of French-Canadian and Irish descent. Growing up as an army brat, she and her two sisters lived in such varied places as New Hampshire, Arizona, and southern Germany. After her family settled back in the US, she started acting in high school and went on to the University of Florida, majoring in both Theatre and Linguistics. Moving to Los Angeles after graduation, she continued to hone her craft and eventually made the leap to the international film and TV market. She resides in Europe and Los Angeles.
