Karen Gonzalez - Biography

Karen Marie Gonzalez Beniquez was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on September 13, 1987 and raised in Gainesville, Florida. Singing Pattie Smith's "Sometimes Love Just An't Enough" in the back seat of her mom's rusty brown 1974 Oldsmobile Cutlas Supreme at the age of five; was where Karen first showed signs of a career in the arts. Her passion for acting and singing grew through her childhood. She began taking part in theater both in and outside of school from 1997-2010. Chicago, Footloose, Once on This Island, and Disney's Beauty and The Beast are just a handful of the productions Karen has booked. In 2010 Karen hosted a TV show called "Do it Best on The Bayou" that aired twice a week in Southern Louisiana on Vision Communication. In 2011 Karen transitioned to film quite gracefully landing the comical role of Bologna Barb in the Universal hit film Pitch Perfect.
