Actress Karyn Halpin was born in Duncan, British Columbia on February 2nd, 1989 during a snow storm. She started acting as a child in the local theater until she graduated high school in 2007. She then moved to Vancouver to attend the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts so she could further pursue her dream. She comes from a very big family with 5 brothers (Cameron, Curtis, Jordon, Brandon, Robin) and 3 sisters (Teri, Erin, Katrina), and 5 aunts and uncles on both parental sides. Originally Born Karyn MacDonald, Karyn uses the stage name Halpin after her grandfather (Eric Halpin) who fought in the war as a fighter pilot for the UK. Some of her favorite actresses/actor inspirations are Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Kristen Wiig.
