Kash Hovey - Biography

Kash Hovey is an American actor, writer, producer and director. Kash was born in Santa Monica, California to Gary Hovey and Michelle Beaulieu Hovey. He has a younger brother Nevada Hovey.

Kash began showing interest in performing at an early age, recreating scenes from his favorite films like Back to the Future. Along with his friends, which included Ashley Bell Musician/Songwriter Michael Shuman and DJ/Record Producer Dillon Francis, he produced and starred in several amateur short films by the time he was 14.

Kash's mother, Michelle, encouraged him to pursue his artistic passions. He soon began studying acting and theatre at Berkeley Hall School, which led to him getting an agent and appearing in two commercials directed by Joe Pytka by the time he was 17.

Kash graduated from California State University Northridge. While in college he wrote, directed and starred in the short film All Tomorrow's Parties. After graduation, Kash appeared in various films and series, such as: Hipster (2011), Powerhorse (2012), I Am Not a Kid Anymore (2013), White Girls (2013), and Edge of Incursion (2014).

Kash co-starred in the music videos John Fogerty: Mystic Highway (2013) by John Fogerty, followed by The Woolly Bandits: Hard to Forget You (2015), with Christa Collins.

Kash had a starring role in Jack and Cocaine (2014), with Jenna Stone, which was written and directed by Cynthia Posner. Kash will next be starring opposite of Katherine Bailess, from Hit the Floor (2013), in the series Another Blackout (2016). He has a feature film in post-production, Undateable John, playing opposite Estella Warren and Shannen Doherty, and another film in development, Skeleton in the Closet, with Joan Jett.
