Katherine Ramdeen - Biography

Katherine Ramdeen (last name pronounced ram-dean) was born in Edmonton, Alberta. Always keen towards the creative arts, she was also extremely academic earning top grades. After high-school, she went on to study Psychology at the University of Alberta.

It wasn't until seeing "Frankenstein" at a small theatre in Edmonton, that she knew had to act. Katherine immediately consulted her professors for advice on how she should follow her dream, and was advised to attend a theatre school for training. Katherine figured she would apply to a single theatre school and if accepted, it was meant to be. Katherine soon gained admission to the prestigious Studio 58 Theatre Conservatory, located in Vancouver, British Columbia.

She went on to study in the rigorous theatre intensive program, earning the Beta Sigma Phi Scholarship for Excellence in her first year of study. In her second year of the three year program, her interest in film and television acting drove her to seek out representation and begin her film career.

Katherine continued her training at numerous acting studios and top coaches in Vancouver, where she resides today.

Her most recent performance involved working opposite Jessica Biel and Jodelle Ferland in the feature film, 'The Tall Man' directed by critically acclaimed French horror genius Pascal Laugier. The film slated for theatrical release in the USA and France in Fall 2012.
