A native of Philly, PA, Kat spent years performing in church skits and memorizing rap songs before making her way to NYU. Soon, she booked her first role on Law and Order: SVU and several off-Broadway plays. In LA, Kat focused on becoming a writer/performer by writing her first humorous inspirational e-book entitled, 'How to Be Positive When Things Suck' as well as performing stand up comedy at the Comedy Store, the Hollywood Improv, the Ice House, and the Comedy Union. She's guest-starred on NBC's 'The Office' as well as appearing in comedy shorts for 'Funny or Die' and Yahoo's 'Sketchy' series.
Most recently, she co-created/executive produced/starred in a comedic web series entitled 'Whiz Kids.' She's been published in Glamour magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, as well as being featured on NPR. You can find her on her blog, An Underachieving Overachiever.
