Katie grew up in Toronto, attending Humber Collage (Theatre Arts Program). Before moving out west, Katie did student films, independent films and theatre, "Tony and Tina's Wedding" (Second City in Toronto) She then moved out west to Vancouver, BC, Canada to further pursue her career. In Vancouver, Katie has been working in film/television while still maintaining the time to be seen on stage. She is developing her own theatre production company, Braveheart Productions. Her first major film role was "You Kill Me", working alongside Sir Ben Kingsley.
