Katy Townsend - Biography

Katy Townsend, 'The Cheeky Scot' hails from Glasgow where she unearthed her passion in the theatre world, touring art house productions across Europe.

Currently based in Los Angeles, Katy's recent credits include a supporting role in Academy Award Winner, Ron Judkins's upcoming indie film 'Finding Neighbors', playing Dean Cain's daughter in B horror flick 'Kill Katie Malone', and starring roles in award winning short films, 'The New World' (Burbank International Film Fest) and 'Haircut' (California International Shorts Fest).

In 2013, Katy revived Kelly MacDonald's role of the mischievous school girl Diane, in the praised LA production of 'Trainspotting' at The Elephant Theater, Hollywood. Katy also plays a lead character (NDA) in Google Earth creator, John Hanke's groundbreaking Augmented Reality Game, 'Ingress'. She has several TV commercials under her belt, including the 2013 Super Bowl ad for men's apparel giant, 'Gildan', which made headlines.

Katy recently won an AudioFiles Earphones Award for outstanding narration in 'Letters from Skye', produced by Random House Audiobooks.
