Born in San Diego, and raised in Colorado, Kelsey modeled through high school. After moving to New York post-graduation to attend NYU, she decided to forego college to continue modeling pursuits internationally. When she met and married Michael Tardio in 1995, she began studying theater and transitioned into acting. She relocated to Los Angeles in 1998, then pregnant with second child, daughter, Riley. Michael was tragically killed in 2002.
Kelsey continued acting until 2006 when a trimalleolar fracture of her ankle and extensive reconstructive ankle surgery put a halt to her career. She got her real estate license and practiced real estate in the Pacific Palisades, and then went on to open a yoga studio/yoga teacher school called YogaCo, with her second husband, Grant Gottfurcht, whom she married in 2009.
After divorcing, Kelsey moved back to Colorado in 2012 with her children. She now works at Hosting.com, and is raising her three children, Lucas and Riley, now ages 18, 16 and Tyler, 3 in her home state.
