Kenny Santiago Marrero - Biography

Kenny Santiago Marrero is a Latino actor. Born in the Bronx,NY at a young age his parents moved to Cleveland Ohio residing in the city of Lorain. Kenny was selected to participate in several community productions. Playing different characters, ranging from the good kid to the most evil. The energy he delivered on stage always captivated the audience. Before his pursuit in acting Kenny worked in retail, food service, drove a semi truck and worked in construction. This moved him to pursue a college education with a higher ambition. In his first college years, he majored in Communications and minored in Art. While a student worker in the theater department at Lorain County Community College under the leadership of Dr.Carolyn Cahill. He took on roles that tested and enhanced his abilities. From combat stunts to comedy, able to speak in different dialects, such as Shakespeare, contemporary theater, and Spanish speaking roles. He proved that the decade of time he spent performing in plays truly added enrichment to his talents and gifted him with a natural ability to perform. In 2006 he began a new venture at the San Francisco Academy of Arts. Working under the leadership of Diane Baker who encouraged him to stay in front of the lens until it was second nature. He immersed himself with passion in every role, every opportunity to perform. He soon gained a reputation for being an all around versatile actor who added a flare with his construction skills and got the job done, eloping into an on demand talent for thesis films at AAU and the University of Berkeley. By the end of his studies, he teamed up in over 67 student films, 12 independent feature films and over a dozen spec commercials. Active in the Mid west,Ohio, Atlanta, Nashville, North and South Carolina, and the Hollywood area he continues to stretch his range as an actor. He has received several best actor nominations: The Hollywood 168 film competition, the Irene Ryan Theater Competition, and the Academy of Arts University film program. He continues to maintain a steady work ethic. Being the director of a local film commission "LCFC" where he promotes the arts, and assists film makers to get free locations, casting local talent, supplying props and craft services.
