Kira Madallo Sesay's unique name is a reflection of her two diverse heritages. She is half Russian and half Sierra Leonean. Kira was born in New York City and is the daughter of a United Nations diplomat. Growing up in an international environment exposed Kira to the rich cultures of the world at an early age. In addition, being part of a UN family enabled her to travel around the world and live in various countries. Kira is the founder and owner of Kalliope Films. Her company's mission is to produce high quality and profitable films of different genres for a worldwide audience. Always open to new ideas and collaborations, she works in conjunction with a variety of international co-producers. Kira is a member of the prestigious Producers Guild of America, Producers Council.
