Downes has been involved in the entertainment industry for over a decade. He began as an actor with his first role in the independent film 'My Dog Vincent' (1998). He steadily built his career since with a lead role in the teen-drama "Higher Ground" (2000) opposite Hayden Christensen and had recurring roles on Showtime's "The L Word" and Disney's "Lizzie McGuire" (2000-2003) with Hilary Duff. Downes spent the last few years working behind the scenes on a number of small productions, becoming certified as an editor in Final Cut Pro and formed the production company DEK'd Out Productions [us] with his colleagues, Eric Meeks and Drew Mitchell. He wrote and produced the company's first project 'DICE' (2010) and made his directorial debut with the character drama '10/10' (2011). Downes lives in Los Angeles and is an avid motorcycle enthusiast in his free time.
