Kyler Ki Sakamoto - Biography

Kyler Ki Sakamoto was born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. Kyler is the youngest of three brothers. He has been working on his craft, acting, dancing, and singing, since he was merely three years old. Most recently Kyler has landed the lead role, as "Tomikazu Nakaji," in a 2014 movie adaptation of the best-selling novel by Graham Salisbury, Under the Blood-Red Sun (2014). On a roll in 2014, Kyler was in the Hawaii International Film Festival movie, The Fishing Club (2014). He has been a cast member of Hawaii's most talented, premier children's performance company, The Diamond Head Theatre Shooting Stars for the past four years.

As a young boy, Kyler has showcased his talent as a model and actor. He has done a Japanese commercial with U International, at the age of 7, as well as print advertisements for Walmart, and Honolulu Magazine. On stage, he loves musical theatre and has been in shows such as "The King and I", "Titanic the Musical", "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown", "Fiddler on the Roof", "Aladdin Jr.", "Are We There Yet", "Adventures of Mr. Toad", and "Oliver". He has also danced in the "Nutcracker". He has been in two Hawaii 5-0 episodes: in the first season 2011 as a featured extra and 2014 as a guest star. Kyler is represented in Hawaii by Premier Modeling & Talents Agency.

Kyler is trained in Musical Theatre, Tap Dance, Jazz Dance, Hip Hop and Vocals. He also excels in gymnastics, Aikido Martial Arts, Mandarin and Spanish language. He plays club volleyball for "Spike & Serve" and plays for Punahou School. He loves the beach and enjoys body boarding and swimming. In his free time, Kyler's hobby is producing & editing videos.
