Laura Niemi - Biography

Laura is an actor, musician and Artistic Director of the Lost Angels Theatre Company.

With over 20 years experience she has worked with some of the most prestigious people in film, television and theater (William Friedkin, Ben Kingsley, Tracy Letts, to name a few). After her first co-starring role in Joss Whedon's Firefly, she has guest starred on multiple TV shows and has been a series regular. She has had supporting roles in major features and has starred in multiple theatrical productions.

Educated at The Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY and a psychology major at CSUN, she went on to play bass guitar in various rock bands (having toured in the performance band "Spork" with Marilyn Manson). She has studied at William Esper Studios, Steppenwolf West, Lesly Kahn, Stan Kirsch, UCB, Improv Olympic and several others. She is the founder of Lost Angels Theatre Company, whose west coast premieres of both Killer Joe and Bug garnered multiple awards.
