Lauren Carter - Biography

Lauren Carter is an American actress, model, and award-winning singer based in Los Angeles. She is writing and recording music with a range of producers including: Grammy-winning Mike Gaydusik, Grammy-winning Igloo of Studio1Zero and more. Previous recordings and performances include work with the UK chart's 2013 No. 1 Classical recording artist, and Decca recording artist, Martynas Levickis. Her debut EP of original material, 'Love Is What You Want' is currently in production and should see a 2015 release. Lauren's voice has also been featured in commercials for such brands as Fiat and Skittles.

In recent years, Lauren has been published in editions of Maxim, FHM, Esquire, and has been featured as a Maxim Today's Girl and Sports Illustrated Lovely Lady of the Day and worked with top photographers around the world.

Lauren completed her Bachelor of Music (Classical Vocal Performance) at Northwestern University, where she studied with Carmen Mehta, of the renowned Mehta classical music family. She then received her Master of Music at the University of Southampton in Southampton, England where she studied with Keith Davis and was mentored by Francesco Izzo.

In addition to performing, writing, and recording Lauren is on the individual voice faculty at AMDA in Hollywood, and supports charities including Earth Child (supporting yoga and meditation education to South African schoolchildren), Tippi Hedren's Shambala Preserve (exotic animal sanctuary based in California), and the UK's Cat Survival Trust.

Lauren's career has taken her all over the globe, and she has worked with an impressive roster of artists including Robert Altman, DJ Fresh, Goldie, Ellen von Unwerth, Catherine Malfitano and more.
