Lauren Myers - Biography

Lauren Myers was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she gained a profound appreciation for watermelon mountains, blue skies, and chile (green and red). She also began performing at an early age, landing her first film role in Terence Hill's spaghetti western The Night Before Christmas when she was only eight years old, followed by her television debut on The Lazarus Man just a few months later. Around this same time, Myers discovered her love of the stage, and continued to pursue both mediums throughout her childhood.

After receiving her BFA in Theatre Performance from Chapman University in Orange, California, Myers moved back to New Mexico. Within a short period of time she booked co-starring roles on USA's In Plain Sight and NBC's The Night Shift, as well as supporting roles in the feature films Illegal and Warrior Woman and the hit web series Enter the Dojo. She has also worked with several local award-winning film companies, including Trifecta+ Entertainment, Heatstroke Productions, Lindele Media, ReDefine Entertainment, and Ultimatum Pictures. She is a member of New Mexico Women in Film, and she won "Best Female Actor" in the 2012 Albuquerque 48 Hour Film Project for the short "Retina." Myers is the co-creator, producer, and lead actor of the feature-length film Dead Billy.

In 2010, Myers also teamed up with Artistic Director Amelia Ampuero and Associate Artistic Director Frank Green when they founded Duke City Repertory Theatre. She is now a Resident Member and the Director of Media & Marketing with the award-winning DCRT ("Best Theatre Troupe" 2011, 2012; Albuquerque The Magazine). She has also worked with several other professional theatre houses in Albuquerque, including FUSION Theatre Company, where she played Jean Fordham in Tracy Letts' August: Osage County, and Mother Road Theatre Company (Hellcab, Love Song).

Myers is an avid runner and hot yogi, a lover of ferrets, cookies, and Art History, and an unabashed Harry Potter nerd.
