Leah Meyerhoff - Biography

A Student Academy Award nominee, Leah Meyerhoff is currently pursuing a Masters in Film at New York University.

While at NYU, Leah directed Twitch, a short film about a young girl's conflicted relationship with her disabled mother and her irrational fear that the disability is contagious.

Twitch premiered at Slamdance, winning a Grand Jury Prize and going on to become a finalist in the Student Academy Awards. It has since screened at over 100 film festivals worldwide and won half a dozen First Place Awards. Twith is currently airing on IFC.

Leah's recent projects include Team Queen, a punk rock burlesque music video for "Triple Creme", scheduled to air on LOGO, and Eternal Flame, a carnival-at-the-beach music video for "Joan As Police Woman", currently airing on MTV Europe.

In addition, Leah has teaching experience at Brown University, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Studio Art Center International, and the New York Film Academy.

Leah is currently working on her first feature film.
