Leonardo Santaiti - Biography

Leonardo Santaiti is an American actor, first of his family born stateside.

Santaiti was born in East Meadow, New York to Italian born father Saverio and Argentine mother Rosa. He has one younger brother. Santaiti strongly identifies with his Italian-Argentine heritage. He learned English at the age of four, and to this day retains his fluency in Spanish and Italian.

His love for the screen and stage was inherent at an early age. Santaiti began training in grade school and throughout his academic career was involved with chorus, band, and theatre. While at university, studying International Business, he developed a further love for the stage, starring in various theatrical productions and short films. His education continued, training at The Acting Center Los Angeles. After graduating with a BBA in International Business and a marketing minor, he formed an alternative rock band and went on a brief southeast tour before landing his first feature film lead role in the independent film A Band of Rogues (2012). Santaiti enjoyed being able to visit his grandmother in Buenos Aires once the film wrapped.

Later he went on to write, produce and star in the short film Forgive Me Father (2015), winning awards in circuit minors as well as creating his production company Santitan Studios; which is in post production with their third film You Got What I Need (2016) a coming of age drama, written and produced by Santaiti, about a lackluster musician that learns of life and love through his various relationships with women; leaving his bipolar ex-girlfriend for a married woman, drowning his sorrows with his high school crush, and learning from his alcoholic rehab counselor, all this to find out what life is really about.

Santaiti continues to move forward with his career recently being a part of Insurgent (2015), The Divergent Series: Allegiant (2016) and the action thriller Sleepless Night (2016).
