Lex King was born to a British father and a South African mother who were liberal students and anti-Apartheid activists. From an early age she delighted in academic studies, and later went on to graduate cum laude from Stellenbosch University, with a degree in Philosophy, Psychology, and English Literature, and then complete a post-graduate degree through correspondence. Lex's passion for acting can be attributed to her fascination with the psychology of human behavior. A philosophically-minded individual, she has always observed the Universe with keen interest. She is of Spanish, British, and French-Mauritian ancestry.
