Linda Hamilton - Biography

Linda Carroll Hamilton was born on September 26, 1956 in Salisbury, Maryland, to Barbara K. (Holt) and Carroll Stanford Hamilton, a physician. Following Wicomico High School, she studied for two years at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, before moving on to acting studies in New York. In New York, she attended acting workshops given by Lee Strasberg. Her first roles were small roles in television series, with her biggest break coming with her role as Sarah Connor in Terminator (1984). She became well-known to the public from her role on the television series La belle et la bête (1987), until her appearance in the blockbuster sequel Terminator 2 - Le jugement dernier (1991) brought her greater fame, which she did not capitalize on. Other films include Monsieur Destinée (1990), Silent Fall (1994) and Le pic de Dante (1997). She has also starred in several acclaimed made-for-TV movies.
