Louise Linton - Biography

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Louise was quick to take to the stage with her first title role on stage at age six. Immediately dedicating herself to the craft she attended the prestigious Edinburgh Drama Academy and later earned the coveted Honors Certificate from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. After boarding school she volunteered in Zambia for six months during the Second Congolese War and wrote a book about her experience.

Louise then moved to Los Angeles where she quickly won roles in the indie feature, 'Banking on Love', a role on mega hit 'CSI: NY' and the Fox, Fuel TV sketch comedy show, 'The Daily Habit'.

Robert Redford cast her in the United Artists film, 'Lions for Lambs', starring Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep. She then did the Roy Lee thriller 'The Echo'. She then joined the cast of indie comedy 'Screwball'. Following this, she filmed global US detective smash 'Cold Case' and then filmed Lionsgate's, 'Crew 2 Crew' in Rome. That fall, she was honored at the Scottish Style Awards 2009 as the country's 'Most Stylish Woman'. Immediately after her return to Los Angeles Louise then booked her first lead role in the sci-fi, 'Scavengers' opposite Sean Patrick Flanery. She then completed a role in the comedy, 'She Wants Me' opposite Charlie Sheen, Josh Gad, and Hillary Duff. She then filmed 'The Power of Few' opposite Christopher Walken and Christian Slater in Louisiana playing a drug addicted woman with a young son. In Spring 2011, Louise filmed the Lifetime movie, 'William & Kate' about the Royal couple. After this she spent the summer on stage in New York starring in the provocative Off Broadway show, 'Manipulation' at the Cherry Lane Theater. Louise then traveled to Alabama to shoot the NASA-based, Hallmark Hall of Fame's Award Winning Feature, 'A Smile As Big As The Moon', opposite John Corbett. In summer 2013, Louise filmed the lead role in the spine-tingling psychological thriller, 'Intruder' (2015) opposite MOBY, and John Robinson (Elephant, Lords of Dog Town).

Following this, she shot the female lead in the romcom, 'Serial Dater's Anonymous' (2015) opposite Sam Page (House of Cards, Mad Men, Gossip Girl).

In Spring 2014, Louise filmed a supporting role in the much-anticipated and star-studded biopic,'Untitled Howard Hughes Biopic' as Betty, a young starlet under contract to Hughes' film studio. The film is written, directed and starring Warren Beatty. Other cast members include Lily Collins, Annette Benning, Martin Sheen, Matthew Broderick, Chase Crawford, Alec Baldwin and others.

In Fall 2014, Louise will travel to the deep South to film the love interest and female lead in the political action thriller, 'Echo Effect', playing Kate, a young investigative journalist determined to solve a complex conspiracy to shut-off Manhattan's water supply.

Following this, Linton will film a major role in the remake of a classic cult horror film - the details of which remain under wraps.

Louise has a B.A. in Journalism and a Juris Doctorate in Law. After graduating law school in October 2012, she formed Stormchaser Films, an independent motion picture production company focused on script and concept acquisition, development and finance. The company's first feature will be released in Fall 2014 with other titles in development. Her partner in the company, Tina Sutakanat, has two decades of experience in film development, finance and production. Louise is a Trustee for Fettes College; an Ambassador for Erskine Wounded Warriors Scotland; an Ambassador for the Scottish Butterfly Trust for Cystic Fibrosis; Ambassador for Mutt Match LA Animal Rescue; Ambassador for Any Dog 'il Do Rescue; and Brand Ambassador for British watch company, Kennett. She recently signed as the first Brand Ambassador for handbag and leather goods company, Dunmore Scotland. She returned to the UK in July 2014 to launch their collaboration, "The Linton Collection" at Fashion Week in July 2014.
